The amino resin is a general term for a resin obtained by polycondensation of an amino group-containing compound such as urea, melamine or benzoguanamine with formaldehyde and an alcohol. The amino resin for coating is a polyfunctional compound which is formed by condensation condensation of a compound containing a (-NH2) functional group with an aldehyde (mainly formaldehyde), and then a methylol group (-CH2OH) and an aliphatic monohydric alcohol partial ether are formed. A product obtained by etherification or total etherification. There are four types depending on the amino compound used: urea-formaldehyde resin, melamine resin, benzoguanamine resin, and copolymer resin.
